Anthony Walker Foundation (AWF) Festival 2014 Launch Party - Studio 2 Parr Street 15/08/14


On Saturday 16th August, the 9th Annual Anthony Walker Festival will take place at Greenbank Sports Academy in Liverpool. The free event which promises to be a fun filled day will take place in memory of Anthony Walker who was brutally killed in a racially motivated attack in July 2005.

The festival features sport, music art and education which aims to promote racial harmony in keeping with the ethos of the Anthony Walker foundation. Nine years after Anthony's death, the festival will promote the Stop The Hate UK campaign and raise awareness of current initiatives aimed at promoting equality and racial harmony.

As a precursor to the event on Friday 15th August, a celebratory launch party will take place at Studio 2 based at the iconic Parr Street studios. The lineup includes performances from some top notch talent within the music industry, MOBO award winners and ones to watch:

AWF Festival Launch Party: #STOPTHEHATE is sponsored by Merseyside Criminal Justice Board to raise awareness of hate crime and promote the work of Stop Hate UK in reporting Hate Crime across merseyside.

All proceeds will go directly to the Anthony Walker Foundation and will allow the organisation to continue with the great work carried out to 'Promote racial harmony through sport, music and education.' .
Tickets are available for purchase on the door and are priced at £5. The night kicks off at 19:00. Come along and support this great weekend of events . It's time to #Stop the hate.
