LIMF - Liverpool International Music Festival kicks off in Sefton Park

LIMF 2016 starts today 21st July. Thus commences four days of awesome live music from internationally acclaimed as well as local artists from a variety of genres. Now in it's fourth year, Europe's largest free event is the kick start to the summer.

Starting on Friday 21st July, the opening night will see Liverpool's Philharmonic Orchestra  perform a set which includes "Music City: Reimagined" The festival includes LIMF Summer Jam, LIMF Presents and LIMF Academy.

LIMF Summer Jam

The festival is family focused and this year's lineup includes the likes of Sigma, The Wombats, Lianne La Havas, Kwabs, Wretch 32, Maverick Sabre, Shakka and many more.

LIMF Presents
The theme is "From the soul" and there will be three decades of music from the likes of Incognito, Omar, Carleen Anderson and Ady Suleiman. The From the soul event and after party will be curated and presented by Giles Petersen.

There will also be a Roots, Rock, Reggae event by LIMF Presents "The redefining sounds of British reggae"  featuring Kiko Bun , Sweetie Irie, Carroll Thompson and Christopher Ellis.

LIMF Academy

Out of 200 applicants, 20 were chosen by expert judges. Three applicants were deemed to be "Most ready" and are set to perform at this year's festival. Eleanor Nelly, SuedeBrown and LUMEN

There will be a family and children zone at the festival
