Review: Deliah - Any last words

Deliah: Rebranded but no compromise on quality
Deliah, formerly Shell Deliah have a new offering available for your aural pleasure.
The Liverpool duo released their new track "Any last words" on 14th September. It is now available for purchase / download on their Soundcloud and Bandcamp pages.

Lyrically, it exudes a confidence and level of sophistication which is so characteristic of the duo. It is about conviction and determination.
The power and depth of Michelle Harris' voice is complemented beautifully by Alex Dopierala's skillful guitar playing. In addition, percussion courtesy of Wana Shibemba, Graeme Heerden and Jack Batchelor makes this a match made in heaven.

Michelle Harris & Alex Dopierala - Deliah

The tone of the track is mellow yet memorable. It's neither in your face or an assault on your ears. The track takes you on a journey, building in power as it progresses beautifully. Before you know it, 3 minutes and 9 seconds have elapsed and you have reached the conclusion.

Despite the subject matter, this track is reassuring and comforting, the gentle teasing of the guitar strings, the depth of soul in the vocal leads you to a happy place ultimately; a place of resolution.

It's a thumbs up from me.To hear more of their music, visit Deliah's Facebook Twitter and Soundcloud pages.
